Service Description
In this class we will cover a variety of mediums, such as watercolor, oil and acrylic, focus on creating depth and form through the strategic use of value, color, and atmospheric perspective. You will learn to see and paint trees as masses of light and shadow rather than individual leaves, focusing on techniques like blocking in large value shapes, layering colors, and creating texture. You will learn how to mix and apply a variety of greens to create realism by the use of both cool and warm shadows. We will go over the use of different brushstrokes to create foliage and branches, and refining shapes with details like "sky holes" for realism.

Cancellation Policy
WAITLIST - If a class is full, you may email us at artists@tracksidestudios.com to be asked to be placed on the waitlist. CANCELLATION - If we need to cancel a course due to too few registrants, we will notify you a week before the class and offer you a choice of a full refund or to apply your registration to a future workshop. If we need to cancel for extenuating circumstances (instructor ill, weather, etc.), we will notify you as soon as we're aware and offer the same choice. If you need to cancel up to one week before the class, your registration fee will be refunded or you may opt to apply it to a future workshop. If you need to cancel 6 days or less before the class, your registration fee may be applied to a future class or donated to our hurricane relief fund to benefit our artist instructors.
