Service Description
If you have been in Asheville in the summer, you have had a bear in your yard, passed one on the parkway or you've seen one having a mocha and biscotti at a local cafe. Let's have some fun with this gorgeous, pesky furballs. Goals: -Have fun. -Learn basic analog (cut by hand) paper collage techniques. -Learn how to transfer a photo onto a surface. -Basic cutting and gluing, building layers to create depth. -Complete the foundation of building a portrait of your favorite fur or feathered friend. Materials Provided: -Practice boards and panels will be provided. -I will also provide a wide selection of papers and gel medium, some scissors, paper towels, finger cots. You will bring: -If you have a great bear photo, bring an 8 X 10 paper copy. Otherwise we will use one of my images. - Extra colorful papers, magazines, etc., that have a variety of colors and textures. - Apron or clothes you do mind getting a little glue on. Don't forget to bring a beverage and snack. Everyone can do this! Don’t be intimidated. It’s all about learning, experimenting, community and having fun!

WAITLIST - If a class is full, you may email us at artists@tracksidestudios.com to be asked to be placed on the waitlist. CANCELLATION - We reserve the right to cancel a course due to: * Too few registrants: we will notify you a week before the class and will refund your full registration. * Extenuating circumstances (instructor ill, weather, etc.): we will notify you as soon as we're aware and refund your full registration. If you are unable to attend the course: * Notify us 7 or more days before the class (email us at artists@tracksidestudios.com) for a full refund * Notify us 3-6 days before the class for a 50% refund In order to ensure our teachers are reimbursed for their preparation and the materials they purchase for each student, there is no refund for cancelations 2 or fewer days before the class or non-attendance.
