Claire Simpson Jones

After working in graphic design, illustration, and a long career in teaching high school art, Claire Simpson Jones has shifted her focus back to full time painting. Claire's sensitive naturalist paintings draw from her many travels abroad and a lifetime of finding refuge and comfort in the raw beauty of our planet. Her deep connection with nature serves as her primary inspiration.

Claire Simpson Jones taught high school and college art for 24 years. She brings her teaching expertise and passion to every workshop she hosts. Claire has been painting watercolors as far back as she can remember. She is a signature member and many times award winner of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.
