OUR STORY
375 Depot Street was built in in the early 1900s as a meat processing plant right next to the railroad. Over the years, it was a night club, a commercial photography business, and eventually artist studios.

Michael Allen Campbell and Julie Bell first started renting at 375 Depot Street in late 2009 and later joined with their friend Lynn Stanley to create art in a large studio at the back of the building. In 2015, the three friends expanded into additional studio spaces, creating Trackside Studios.
We continued to expand and grow, adding working studios and gallery spaces in early 2024, rebuilding after Hurricane Helene, and always keeping an eye toward being a bright, expansive space for the arts. (See our blog for more info & images about our history, the flood and current happenings).

Today, our team includes managers Li Newton, Chalkley Matlack, Michael and Julie plus artists who help with social media, events and marketing.
