Value of Value in Oils

Note - This class is the precursor to Saturation of Color class January 11, Noon to 4pm Students will learn to: • mix a “string” of gray values using only white and black paint • see value in a landscape • apply the oil paint to canvas, recreating what you see • block in the painting • add subtle details to bring the painting to life Materials Provided: Black and White oil paint, canvas, palette, easel, brushes, mineral spirits, paper towels Bring: paint clothes, snack (lunch), drink; We will take a quick break around 2pm Min 4, Max 20 Registration $60, includes materials listed above You will be notified a week before the class if there are not enough registrants to hold the class.
